Howard hopes to get some eye-catching reps.

Kansas City went into camp with Spencer Ware as the strong starter and Charcandrick West as one of the league’s better reserves. But as Ware and West were banged up early in camp, Hunt has impressed as much as he could with strong practices.

As the better receiver than West and proving to the coaches he’s smart enough to pick up every aspect of the offense quickly, Hunt is vying for a bigger No. 2 role in the committee. Ware wore down late last season and wasn’t very effective as a finisher. Hunt showing his best in red zone situations is key to eating more into Ware’s early-down work.

There’s no question that Perine is a more talented power runner than second-year undrafted free agent Rob Kelley, but he has not gotten off to the greatest start with Jay Gruden. The coach, who banished once-promising Matt Jones to the roster bubble after repeated similar issues, has been peeved by Perine for fumbling and shaky pass protection.

“I like where they’re at. They’re all working hard,” Pagano said. “They’re not, we’re not — as an offense, defense, special teams — the finished product. We’re 6-7 days in. We all know we’ve got a long way to go. We’ve just got to keep our head down and keep working to get better.”

The difficulty for the Colts in trying to build a winning formula through training camp Raiders Cheap Jerseys is that the most important component of that formula won’t be introduced until some unspecified future point.

Some offensive players have to pay attention merely to establishing their own value. For Really Cheap Jerseys example, rookie wideout Bug Howard, an undrafted free agent from North Carolina, is trying to take advantage Donte Moncrief’s absence. While the starting wideout sits due to injury, Howard hopes to get some eye-catching reps.
